Spring Tryout Information

The spring tryouts will be held in two parts: on-ice component and written component. 

The written component will test hockey IQ, situational player awareness and systems (for returning players). There are multiple versions of this exam.

The on-ice component will begin promptly at the listed start times below.

Please get to the rink early. Suggested arrival windows are below. You will check-in at the tryout table and receive your jersey, locker room assignments and exam.

April 2nd Tryout Schedule - Twin Rinks Ice Rink

Session 1 Schedule:

5:20-5:40 – Recommended Check-In Window

5:45 – Written Exam (Will be given out as players arrive – Expect it to take 10 Minutes)

6:30-8:00 – On Ice Session


Session 2 Schedule:

7:00-7:20 – Recommended Check-In Time

7:25 – Written Exam (Will be given out as players arrive – Expect it to take 10 Minutes)

8:10-9:40 – On Ice Session


An email will be sent out after the completion of the day 1 tryouts with your assigned slots for day 2.


April 3rd Tryout Schedule - Hot Shot Ice Arena

Day 2 consists of an on-ice component only.

Players will need to check-in prior to the on ice portion of day 2. Arrive early enough to complete this and get dressed. Tryouts start promptly at the times listed.

For those players who are unable to attend the day 1 tryout due to conflicts you reported. You will need to arrive earlier on day 2 to take your written exam.


Session 1 Schedule:

5:00 - 5:10 Recommended Check-In for players who missed day 1.

5:15 - Written exam for players who missed day 1. (Will be given out as players arrive - Expect it to take 10 minutes)

6:00 - 7:30 - On Ice Session


Session 2 Schedule:

6:45 - 6:55 Recommended Check-In for players who missed day 1.

7:00 - Written exam for players who missed day 1. (Will be given out as players arrive - Expect it to take 10 minutes)

7:40 - 9:10 - On Ice Session
