Fall/Winter Season

Tryout Day 1:

8/11: 8:30-10:00AM (A-L), 10:10-11:40AM (M-Z)

8/11 4:40-5:40PM and 5:50-6:50PM -- Groups will be assigned after morning skates. All players will skate twice.

Tryout Day 2:

8/14: 5:15-6:30PM and 7:30-8:45PM

Players will be assigned after Day 1

All tryouts are held at Twin Rinks.

The Stevenson Hockey club primarily skates out of Twin Rinks Ice Pavilion in Buffalo Grove. Most home games and practices will be held here.

On average both Varsity teams and JV teams practice two-three times per week during either 60 or 90 minute slots.

All three teams will play in the Scholastic Hockey League. Between regular season league games, playoffs, exhibition games and tournaments Varsity Green averages 50-65 games, Varsity Gold averages 50-60 games and JV averages 40-50.

Varsity Gold: Kings Kup Pre Season Tournament (9/6-9/8), Las Vegas Halloween Bash (10/24-10/27), Stevenson Thanksgiving Tournament (11/29-12/1)

JV White: Kings Kup Pre Season Tournament (9/6-9/8), Stevenson Thanksgiving Tournament (11/29-12/1), Hybrid Indoor/Outdoor MLK Tournament (1/17-1/20)

If you're new to the program there is a one-time new player package fee of $700 that includes a team bag, a set of game jerseys, shell, warm-ups, game socks, green helmet and green gloves. A green helmet and gloves are required.

Varsity Green (V1):

Skater: $1,015 / Goalie: $735

Varsity Gold (V2) & JV White:

Skater: $850 / Goalie: $650

Each team has a team fund that is required. Both varsity teams contribute $700 per player and JV White contributes $350 per player. These funds support team specific activities that benefit that team individually. Sample expenses include team meals/snack/drinks/gatorade during game travel, select travel costs, team bonding activities, team events/parties, team specific embroidery, etc. These funds are designed to be spent to zero at the end of the season. Any excess funds will be refunded.
